We see every claim through
A Chester law firm regulated by the SRA, handling consumer claims since 2005. New name, same commitment.
We used to be Proximo Legal Services
The firm has run consumer claims since 2005, trading as Proximo Legal Services before it became Fernstone Law. The latest change of name left everything else as it was: same solicitors, same building, same way of working. The name changed because the work outgrew it.
Most firms in this market are introducers. They take your details, pass the file to a panel firm, and take a cut. We do not do that. When you instruct us, your claim is run by our own solicitors, and the person who picks up the phone is the person handling it. If a claim ever needs a specialist we do not have, we tell you, and we help you find one.
That is a slower way to build a business and a better way to run a claim. It also means we say no more often than our competitors, because we only take on work we can see through properly. Whether that holds up is not for us to say, so the reviews are published in full, the critical ones included. Our figures are published the same way, with their sources and limits. And if something goes wrong, our complaints procedure says what happens next.
Why the name changed
A rebrand isn't something we've taken lightly. Fernstone reflects what we wanted our name to say about us: something that grows steadily and something solid underneath it. It's a fresh identity for a firm that's been doing this work quietly and consistently for years, and the people handling your claim remain the same.
You'll see both names for a little while as we complete the transition. Anywhere you see "formerly Proximo Legal Services", that's us confirming continuity, not a different company.

- The same approach: plain-English advice, straight answers, no unnecessary delay
- The same Chester office, the same phone number, the same people

Chester
One office, on Sealand Road. We act for clients across England and Wales, and most claims are handled by phone, email and post, so where we sit matters less than who picks up. It matters to us, though. Everyone working on your file is in the same building.
